Happy Father's Day!

Yes, finally! Here are the pictures from Father's Day!

We had a wonderful time at Grammy and Grandpa Olney's house. The twins were as cute as could be. Granddad Bender showed up to join in the fun. We set the kiddy pool up and the girls loved it! We had little turtles that shot a stream of water and they loved getting squirted! Allison took a nose dive in the pool and went all the way under water. Surprisingly she didn't cry at all. They had a great time with everyone and are looking forward to celebrating Father's Day with the Benders next weekend.

Fathers day passed and along with it passed a milestone. Kaylee did not nurse the babies on Father's Day and hasn't since. So far, the girls have been very good about it; we have had minimal fussing. It has been bittersweet I think for Kaylee. I just want to say that I am very proud of her. She made a commitment to breastfeed and when we found out we were having twins, she kept that commitment. She kept going through feeding two babies at the same time. She kept going through 8 hour, non-stop feeding sessions. She kept going through babies crying to be first. She kept going through countless times pumping. She kept going through all of the hurdles one must go through to successfully breastfeed twins. Through her dedication, she has given Allison and Mika a perfect start. Thank you Kaylee! We love you!

Anyway, I started talking about feelings and junk and I got sidetracked. The only update that I have is that I think Allison said "Mika". She was watching Mika get out of the car with Mommy and said "Ka!" a couple times. I think that counts.

Since this a Father's Day post, here are some pictures of the girls showing off the traits they get from me.

Happy Father's Day Jason, Grampa Randy, and Granddad Kevin!! Double love the pictures. The girls look so cute (but then they always do) in those adorable outfits. Love the news about Allison saying "Ka" for Mika. Both girls are talking so well, they won't need sign language much longer. Jason, your Father's Day posting is more about Kaylee than about you, your dad, or Kevin! But that shows your generous nature. Kaylee is fortunate to have you as a husband. Ali and Mika are fortunate to have you as a father. Compliments also to Randy and Kevin as fathers to you and Kaylee. And more importantly, as grandfathers to Mika and Ali. Again, Happy Father’s Day times two!!

Wow, Father’s Day was June 17; today is July 6! We celebrated Father’s Day June 24 along with two birthdays and an anniversary. It was a great day to thank Jason for being such a terrific dad. Praise also to Granddad Kevin and Pop-Pop. Everyone enjoyed seeing Ali and Mika. How did we ever have family gatherings without them?
